Create New Database From Backup File

Access this form by selecting a server node in the navigation pane and clicking the create new database from backup file icon on the toolbar.

This form is useful if you want to copy a database from one server to another. Simply copy the backup file to the destination server and use this form to create the database.

New database name
Enter a name for the new database.

File
Specify the filename containing the backed-up database. Click browse (...) to select a file.

Device
Specify a pre-defined device containing the backed-up database.

File number
Select the specific backup contained within the selected file or device. Click browse (...) to view a complete list of backups.

Files to restore
View a list of database files in the selected backup. If necessary you can alter the target filenames and locations.
