The Job Builder software is
designed to work with SQL Express and SQL Server 2005 (primarily
so you can copy and paste jobs from a 2005 server to and SQL
Express server) |
When Job Builder starts you will be presented with a login dialog as
shown below.
If you need to login to multiple servers then use the Server\New
Server menu command to add a new tab and login dialog.
To login enter the SQL Server name and, if necessary, your SQL Server
login name and password. Click Login and a connection attempt will be
made.
If you cannot connect then:
- Make sure the server is running
- Check you have entered the SQL Server name correctly
- Check your login is valid and that the server is configured to
accept SQL Server logins if you are not using Windows NT
authentication
- Try increasing the Timeout value
Once a connection is made the login settings will be saved in the
Server Name drop-down list so you don't have to re-type everything next
time. |
